Translations

The College is working in partnership with the international translation charity Translators without Borders (TwB) to provide translations of our most popular patient information leaflets in the 20 most common languages used in the UK, including Welsh. TwB is a non-profit organisation offering language and translation support for humanitarian and development agencies, and other non-profit organisations on a global scale.

Patients whose main language is not English can often find communication with healthcare professionals to be a challenge, which can increase anxiety. We hope that our translations will help our members to communicate better with these patients about procedures and risks and as a result have better informed discussions around consent.

DISCLAIMER: All translations are provided by TwB's translator community. The quality of these translations is checked to make the translations as accurate as possible, but there is a risk of inaccuracies and misinterpretation of some information.

Have any questions or feedback on our translations? Please let us know by contacting us on patientinformation@rcoa.ac.uk
