Career Development Programme - advance your career in quality improvement
Are you an anaesthetist in training (stage 3), SAS doctor or CESR fellow looking to develop leadership skills in quality improvement (QI)?
If so, you’re the ideal candidate to join our new Quality Network Career Development Programme. Applications are open for this unique opportunity to become a QI leader of the future. As a member of the network, you will:
- Build your QI knowledge and develop QI leadership skills
- Gain hands-on experience in national QI projects that complement the RCoA curriculum
- Be mentored by a dedicated QI lead in your region
- Collaborate and network with QI leaders at our events
- Apply best practice to secure positive change on a local and regional level
If you’re someone with a drive to make anaesthetic and perioperative care safer, more effective and patient-centred then apply by 10 March to join the network.
The programme will be complementary to the RCoA Quality Network which aims to share best practice on important national patient safety and quality initiatives through collaboration. The members of the programme will be encouraged to participate in projects delivered by the Quality Network utilising their local expertise to embed best practice and achieve positive change on a local and regional level.

- CV with contact details for two referees (maximum 2 pages)
- Supporting statement (up to 650 words) demonstrating: a. how you meet the criteria in the person specification, including details of any Quality Improvement modules, courses or professional qualifications undertaken b. Future career aspirations in relation to Quality Improvement
Applications will be assessed against the requirements listed in the person specification.
The closing date is 9am Monday 10 March 2025. There may be further windows to apply in 2025.
