Examination calendars
Please note:
The application window for the Primary FRCA MCQ Examination in February 2026 opens on the 3 December 2025 and not on the 15 December 2025 as stated on the calendar.
FRCA Examination Calendar 2026-2027
Please take note of the following date changes to this calendar which have been made in preparation for the transition to the new college building:
- Primary FRCA OSCE SOE, week commencing 16 November 2026
This exam has been scheduled slightly later in November.
- Primary FRCA MCQ Examination, Monday, 2 November 2026
This exam has been moved earlier in response to the date change to the OSCE SOE in the same month. Candidates who fail the Primary MCQ in September will continue to have the opportunity to sit in November.
- Primary FRCA OSCE SOE, week commencing 1 February 2027
This exam will run one week later than usual due to the change in date of the November OSCE SOE examination session.
Examination venues in 2026-27

2026: The Primary FRCA OSCE SOE, November 2026 and Final FRCA SOE, December 2026 will take place in person at the Examination Centre of the Royal College of General Practitioners, London.
- 2027: From 2027, all FRCA clinical oral exams will take place at the new College building, Jubilee House, London.
