This website (this Site) is operated by the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA), a Royal Charter Company with registration number RC000796, whose address is at Churchill House, 35 Red Lion Square, London, WC1R 4SG. 

This Site contains information, advice and guidance to help members of the RCoA, patients and the public. Some of this information and guidance is intended for use within the United Kingdom.  Visitors to this Site are advised that practices may vary in countries outside the United Kingdom.

Permitted Use

This Site is for your private and personal use only.  You agree NOT to use this Site and the material you will find on it:

  • for any unlawful and improper purposes

Accessing Examination Papers

Additional terms apply if you wish to access examination papers on this Site and you will be asked to confirm your acceptance of these terms before you can download such papers.

The RCoA have the right to, but no obligation, at any time to delete, remove, suspend or restrict the whole or any part of the Site or any content posted on it including in any interactive areas and areas requiring registration or subscription without notice and without incurring any liability.

  • our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of content on this Site must always be acknowledged

Termination

RCoA may immediately suspend or terminate your access to this Site without notice if any breach of these Terms and Conditions of use by you is brought to our attention.

Your registration on this Site may be terminated and your profile may be deleted at any time. We may prohibit you from using or accessing this Site, at any time in our sole discretion, with or without notice.

These Terms and Conditions shall apply to any use of this Site, also after your registration was terminated.

We reserve the right to deactivate user accounts and user names in line with the RCoA data retention policy.

Viruses

We do not guarantee that this Site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses.

You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform to access this Site. You should use your own virus protection software.

You must not misuse this Site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to this Site, the server on which this Site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to this Site.

You must not attack our site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack. By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.

We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use this Site will cease immediately.

Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by English law. You agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction except that, if you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the jurisdiction you are resident in.
