These regulations shall be known as the FRCA and FFPMRCA Examiner Regulations, governing the Primary and Final FRCA examinations and the FFPMRCA examination delivered by the Royal College of Anaesthetists, and shall come into effect in October 2024.
These regulations replace and supersede:
- The Royal College of Anaesthetists FRCA Examiner Regulations dated July 2019; and
- Any previous Faculty of Pain Medicine / FFPMRCA examiner regulations, policies, procedures or guidance relating to examiner selection, appointment, performance management, conduct, or exit processes (where applicable).
These regulations supersede all previous policies, procedures, and guidance relating to the selection, appointment, performance management, and conduct of FRCA and FFPMRCA examiners.
These regulations establish a consolidated and unified framework for the governance of all examiners involved in FRCA and FFPMRCA examinations delivered by the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
