Clinical Lead for e-Learning Anaesthesia

Accountable to:

3 years in the first instance, subject to review after each year. Opportunity to reappoint for a further term of 3 years if funding available.

Key relationships:

RCoA Director of Membership, Media and Development; RCoA Events and Professional Development Commitee Chair; RCoA Membership, Media and Development Board Chair; other Clinical Lead.

Requirements:

  • College Member in good standing
  • Consultant Anaesthetist / SAS Doctor /Locally employed Doctor
  • Current licence to practice with no restrictions or warnings

 

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Content planning, production, and review
  • Liaison with key stakeholders
  • Communication, promotion, and engagement with colleagues

 

Skills, knowledge and experience

  • Enthusiasm to support trainees in the changing environment of health care education.
  • Familiarity with the College’s training curriculum and alternative pathways.
  • Familiarity with methods of appraisal and assessment (including examinations).
  • Support of clinical director/ departmental lead.
  • Keen interest in medical education and professional development.
  • Interest in innovation of education delivery and content creation.

 

Remuneration

The College will compensate the Clinical Lead's NHS trust 1 Programmed Activity per week, according to the RCoA's clinical backfill policy.
