I am currently an ST7 in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery undertaking advanced training in airway and head and neck anaesthesia. As of last year I am now training at 80% LTFT. I was elected to the Anaesthetists in training committee in February 2019. Currently I sit on the exams and recruitment committees. These are areas that have undergone massive change over the past 18 months during the Covid Pandemic. They have also, unfortunately, led to major issues in some areas particularly around exams. Together with local representatives as well as those of the association of anaesthetists I am determined to work with the college to improve the experience of trainees who have been through an extremely stressful period of training. Outside of work I am married to a GP and have two young boys keeping me on my toes!
