British Journal of Anaesthesia
Bulletin, BJA and BJA Education
If you wish to stop receiving the BJA through the post as you prefer to view it online, please email your request with the subject line: "BJA Opt-out request" to the Membership Engagement team who will action this for you.
Please note that currently your request will opt you out of receiving all three of these publications. It will also take a couple of months for this request to be put in place. This is due to our publication creators and distributors working to a schedule a couple of months ahead of time.
The British Journal of Anaesthesia (BJA) is the College's peer-reviewed academic journal, produced twelve times a year by the internationally renowned science publisher, Elsevier.
With an impact factor of 9.097 (5 Year Impact Factor) the BJA is the highest ranking journal in the field of anaesthesia in the world.
The BJA publishes high-impact original work in all branches of anaesthesia, critical care medicine, pain medicine and perioperative medicine including fundamental, translational and clinical sciences, clinical practice, technology, education and training.
The journal is affiliated with the Royal College of Anaesthetists, the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland, and the Hong Kong College of Anaesthesiologists.
Fellows and members of the Royal College of Anaesthetists receive the print version of the journal and are granted free online access to the BJA. This is extended to the BJA's sister title BJA Education. Both journals retain their editorial independence.
