HRH Prince Philip, 1921 – 2021

Responding to the death of HRH Prince Philip, Professor Ravi Mahajan, President of the Royal College of Anaesthetists, said:

"It was with great sadness that I learned of the death of HRH Prince Philip.

"His dedication to public service, remarkable naval career and steadfast commitment and loyalty to HRH Her Majesty The Queen over their 73-year marriage made his life an inspiration to people across the United Kingdom and Commonwealth.

"I would like to echo the words of Prime Minister Boris Johnson, “We are a kingdom united both in grief and gratitude; grief at Prince Philip’s passing, and gratitude for his decades of selfless service.”
