Sexual exploitation, grooming, trafficking and modern slavery
These forms of abuse are again more common in vulnerable groups such as people who have recently entered the UK who are seeking asylum, young people who have recently left the care system and those with communication difficulties/disabilities.
As always it is important to consider abuse, be aware of the potential criminal implications if such abuse has occurred and seek specialist help and advice from an expert. These types of abuse are more clearly defined by the Social Care Institute for Excellence here.
