GasReach is an exciting new collaborative project between the Widening Participation Medics Network (WPMN) and the Royal College of Anaesthetists which aims to increase diversity within anaesthesia.
This resource aims to provide people with ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis or encephalopathy/chronic fatigue syndrome) who need to have an anaesthetic or sedation with information about what they might expect at the different stages of the surgical journey, and what they can do to prepare, in collaboration with their healthcare teams.
The College welcomes the Health and Care Bill with cautious optimism, however without long-term workforce planning, reforms are likely to have little impact on patient care.
