Refugee Buddy opportunities
A refugee buddy will be an anaesthetist; intensivist or pain medicine specialist who will provide informal support to a refugee who wishes to enter UK practice within the NHS in anaesthesia at any point in their career pathway.
We are looking for individuals to support doctors who have qualified as outside of the UK and are interested in specialising in anaesthesia. These individuals will be at varying stages on their journey into anaesthetic practice in the UK including:
- Completing IELTS / OET
- Completing PLAB
- Been granted registration and looking to start working as an anaesthetist in the UK
- Having recently gained employment as an anaesthetist in the UK
To apply for any of the above positions please send a send a copy of your CV and a short statement (no more than 2 sides of A4) outlining why you are interested in the role and outlining your relevant experience to global@rcoa.ac.uk by 23:59 on Sunday 3rd December 2023.

Successful applicants will need to be available to attend an event at the College with Refuaid clients on Wednesday 28th February 2024.
Please note that these roles are unremunerated but will be subject to the College's expenses claims policy.
