Professor Ravi Mahajan, President of the Royal College of Anaesthetists said:

“I would like to thank the seven candidates who stood for these two positions on our Council.

“I am especially pleased that during 2020, and all the challenges it has delivered, our members are still willing to give of their time and experience to their College. This is now their opportunity to work proactively and selflessly with their fellow College members, volunteers and staff to advance the work we are doing on behalf of our growing membership. Thank you for stepping forward.

"Congratulations to Dr Ramai Santhirapala for securing the Consultant post, and Dr Ashwini Keshkamat for securing the SAS post. I look forward to working closely with Ramai and Ashwini. I’d also like to thank all members who took the time to cast their vote. The Council and its elections are pivotal to the College’s work.”
