Digital Content Fellow

Job Title: Digital Content Fellow
Directorate: Membership, Media and Development
Reports to: Head of Content
Accountable to: Events and Professional Development Committee
Key relationships: RCoA Director of Membership, Media and Development; RCoA Events and Professional Development Commitee Chair; RCoA Membership, Media and Development Board Chair; various event and professional development Clinical Leads.
Requirements:
  • Member in good standing (including ad Eundem or associate) of the College
  • Stage 2 or 3 Anaesthetist in Training / Consultant Anaesthetist / SAS Doctor / Locally employed Doctor
  • Current licence to practice with no restrictions

 

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Digital education content planning, production, and review
  • Mapping, aligning, and curating content
  • Collaboration with key clinical colleagues within and outside the College

 

Skills, knowledge and experience

  • Experience creating or editing digital content – audio, video, interactive courses, etc - and confidence with this material.
  • Familiarity with the College’s work in education and professional development.
  • Strong interest in and confidence with online learning, especially for medical education, and the latest trends in this field.
  • Desire to support anaesthetists and  their clinical colleagues with digital education.
  • Support of clinical director or department lead.

 

Period of commencement and operation

The post-holder will begin their duties in or before June 2025 for a period of one year, with the possibility of extension thereafter.

Remuneration

There is no direct remuneration for this role, however all reasonable expenses will be covered by the RCoA in line with the RCoA expenses policy.
