Professional life and career
Postgraduate career
No details are recorded in the Medical Directory (other than an address in Wakefield) between qualification in 1926 and appointment as an anaesthetist to the EMS & Clayton Hospitals in Wakefield in 1942. However, subsequent entries indicate that she had been house physician at Leeds General Infirmary and subsequently worked as medical officer in antenatal and child welfare clinics. By 1955 she was senior consultant anaesthetist to the Wakefield hospitals, retiring in 1967.
