Medical Training Initiative - applicant information
Key details for International Medical Graduates (IMG) considering applying to the MTI scheme in Anaesthesia
Applicants that are successfully appointed to the MTI scheme will be offered sponsorship for a Tier 5 Government Authorised Exchange visa for a maximum of 24 months. Successful applicants can also obtain full GMC registration.
Before an IMG can be appointed to an MTI post, the College must have approved the post in question for MTI.
Before applying for MTI, you must be aware of the following:
- MTI posts are offered for a maximum of 24 months and the expectation is that upon completing your placement in the UK you do return to your home country
- you must meet all of the eligibility criteria
