Anaesthetists as Educators: An Introduction provides an introduction to postgraduate medical education in anaesthesia.  Using a combination of  workshops and lectures, this course is suitable for trainees, SAS doctors and consultants who have had no previous training in teaching or medical education. This introductory course provides the ground work for the Anaesthetists as Educators: teaching and training in the workplace course, which is a highly interactive natural follow on workshop which centres around your own real life experiences.

Please note there will be pre-course reading and videos to watch prior to attending this course. We expect this to take about half a day.

If you are intending to apply for membership of the Academy of Medical Educators, you will need to attend both this course and the two-day AaE: teaching and training in the workplace course and to complete both homework assignments. Both courses should be completed within 30 months. For further information on the Academy accreditation please visit the AaE website
