RCoA welcomes Each Baby Counts progress report
Dr William Harrop-Griffiths, Chair of the Clinical Quality and Research Board at the Royal College of Anaesthetists said:
“We welcome the publication of the ‘Each Baby Counts progress report’ from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) which forms an important role in improving quality in obstetric care.
“The focus on the importance of human factors and effective communication between members of a multi-disciplinary team lies at the heart of safe and effective care for both mothers and babies.“We support the recommendations made in relation to obstetric anaesthetic care which closely reflect those in the College’s guidelines for obstetric anaesthesia which form part of our Anaesthetic Clinical Services Accreditation (ACSA) programme.”
