RCoA responds to 'Welcomed and Valued' GMC consultation

The Royal College of Anaesthetists has responded to the General Medical Council’s (GMC) ‘Welcomed and valued’ consultation.

The GMC oversees all stages of medical education and requires organisations to support disabled medical students and doctors through their training. They have updated their guidance to help organisations do this and it is now titled ‘Welcomed and valued’. The College is pleased to be able to comment on this guidance, in order that doctors with disabilities get the support they need.
