Professional life and career
Postgraduate career
After qualifying Corcoran undertook house jobs at the Victoria Hospital in Burnley, Lancashire. Next he was Resident Anaesthetist at the Royal Infirmary in Leicester, followed by the Royal Infirmary in Bradford. In 1950 he was appointed Consultant Anaesthetist at the Stockport, Buxton and Macclesfield Hospitals Group. He remained in this post until his retirement about 1978.
Other biographical information
He married Dr Maureen Buckley in 1953 and they had a daughter and a son. He died in Cheshire at the age of 77, survived by his family.
