Experiences of the ACSA anaesthetic department accreditation scheme

ACSA is the Royal College of Anaesthetists highly regarded accreditation scheme for anaesthetic departments. In this episode of Anaesthesia on Air, Dr Emma Hosking, Vice-Chair of the ACSA Committee talks to Dr Tony Shambrook- ACSA Lead at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor and Dr Euan McGregor- ACSA Lead at Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh about their department’s experience of pursuing accreditation through the ACSA Scheme. The speakers cover the process and how their departments have continued to engage in this quality improvement process despite the challenges of the pandemic. It will also explore how the College has adopted a hybrid model of delivery to continue its review of departments.
