LLP Updates and Policies

Additionally, we will publish important policies, guidelines, and other essential documents to ensure you have access to the most up-to-date information. This page is designed to keep our users engaged and well-equipped with the resources needed to support their lifelong learning journey.

01/05/2026 - Data Deletion Project Phase 1

We are undertaking a data deletion project to ensure compliance with the RCoA Data Retention Policy. Under this policy, Learner data is retained for seven years after a user achieves their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). After this period, most learner data must be permanently deleted.

What this means for you

The first batch of this project will apply to users who achieved their CCT between August 2018 and December 2018. In October, we will inform users who have reached CCT between January 2018 and July 2018. If you fall into this group, your Learner data will be scheduled for deletion.

If your account is affected, you will receive a direct email from the Lifelong Learning Platform (LLP) team. This email will include:

Confirmation that your data is due for deletion
Instructions on how to access and download your records
Key deadlines to ensure you can retain any information you need

What you need to do

If you receive an email: Follow the instructions provided to download your data before deletion
If you do not receive an email: No action is required at this time. If unsure, email the Lifelong Learning Platform team.

Phase 2 - Retention Period Review

As part of this project, we are also exploring a potential reduction to the current 7-year data retention period following CCT.

This work is still in the discussion and review stage and no changes have been confirmed at this time. A full assessment will take place later this year to determine whether any updates to the retention policy are appropriate.

We are committed to keeping users informed and will provide further updates on the Lifelong Learning Platform and our website as soon as more information becomes available.

31/07/2025 - Requesting Roles on LLP

To update your roles on the LLP, please email the LLP team at [email protected] with the following information:

Full name
GMC number
The role you are requesting

If your assessor cannot be found via the search function on the LLP, they will also need to email the LLP team with the above details to request the appropriate role.

28/07/2025 - Supplier Transition

We are delighted to announce that we have now transitioned to a new supplier for the Lifelong Learning Platform . Evoluted have taken over from CACI as of July 28th 2025 and we are looking forward to working with them.

26/11/2024 - LLP Survey results

During the summer of 2024, the LLP team conducted a comprehensive survey to gather valuable feedback from its user base. The survey included a range of questions designed to evaluate each functionality in detail. After collecting responses, the team thoroughly analyzed the results and compared them to the findings from the 2022 survey. The results were positive, highlighting a significant improvement in user experience. This feedback reaffirmed the team's ongoing efforts to enhance the platform and meet the needs of its users effectively. You can find the summary here.
