Established a small ICU after appointment in Wrexham, and then commissioned an eight bed unit on the new site. Happiest when working clinically, he was a keen teacher and his enthusiasm & quiet, but form leadership inspired others.

Married with three daughters & a son, he had a wide range of interests: model aircraft, painting, music, fly fishing and wildlife.
