Professional life and career
Postgraduate career
Early appointments were all in Newcastle-upon-Tyne: house surgeon, Fleming memorial Hospital for Sick Children; resident anaesthetist, Royal Victoria Infirmary; and house physician, General Hospital. She then became anaesthetist at the latter hospital, adding duties to the thoracic department during WW2. After the war she moved to Shotley Bridge Hospital where the Regional Chest Surgery Centre was based, and where she became senior anaesthetist, also being visiting anaesthetist at the RVI in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and retiring circa 1975.
Professional interests and activities
Published a number of papers on anaesthesia for thoracic surgery.
