Professional life and career
Postgraduate career
Although he first qualified in 1926, no specific appointment is recorded until circa 1933 when he became junior honorary anaesthetist at King’s College Hospital and honorary anaesthetist at several others in London. However, his early registerd address was that of his father, a GP in Kent, so he may have been working in practice and or on his other qualifications, medical & legal (he was admitted a member at Gray’s Inn in1929). By the end of the decade he was honorary anaesthetist and lecturer in forensic medicine & toxicology at King’s, but was ‘called to the Bar’ in 1941, after which his only recorded medical appointment was as visiting anaesthetist to the LCC, this seeming to continue until his death.
Professional interests and activities
Although awarded the DA(RCP&S) by election in 1939, he described himself primarily as a barrister after 1941, becoming involved in the Coronial system, first as Assistant
Other biographical information
Both his father & and brother were doctors. In 1933 he married Audrey Sylvia Jackson and they had a daughter & son. More personal information would be welcome.
