We are delighted to announce that Professor Jugdeep Dhesi will be admitted as an Honorary Fellow later this year.

Professor Jugdeep Dhesi has served as Co-Deputy Director of the Centre for Perioperative Care (CPOC) since 2019, providing outstanding leadership over six years, and is proudly nominated by the CPOC Leadership Team for a College Award in recognition of her exceptional contribution. She's a geriatrician and a leading voice for the older surgical population; she's been a tireless advocate for integrated perioperative care and a driving force behind CPOC’s mission to transform surgical pathways. Championing system-wide, multidisciplinary and multiprofessional approaches, Professor Dhesi has played a pivotal role in embedding perioperative care as a core component of NHS pathways, improving outcomes for patients across all specialties.

Professor Dhesi has been integral to CPOC’s growth, helping shape it into the nationally and internationally recognised home of perioperative care it is today. With over 20 years at the forefront of perioperative medicine and senior leadership roles across the British Geriatrics Society and Royal College of Physicians, she has brought unrivalled expertise and strategic vision to the Centre. Her thoughtful and directive leadership has been foundational, directly shaping CPOC’s identity, influence and national profile, and leaving a lasting impact on patient care and the wider perioperative community.
