This essential study guide is intended for use by candidates preparing for the Primary FRCA examination leading to the Diploma of Fellow of The Royal College of Anaesthetists. It will also be useful to tutors and others assisting candidates in their preparations. The MCQs given are drawn from the College question bank and illustrate the range and content of the questions. The SOE questions used are actual examination material and are provided to help candidates to understand what they will face. The SOE answers provide a guide to the content of the answers – as such these sections are an invaluable template for exam preparation and practice SOE.

The Final
September 2011
This essential study guide is intended for use by candidates preparing for the Final FRCA examination leading to the Diploma of Fellow of The Royal College of Anaesthetists. It will also be useful to tutors and trainers assisting candidates to prepare for the examination. 180 MTF and 30 SBA MCQs with answers which have been drawn from the College questions bank to illustrate the range and content of the questions. 12 SAQs with suggested answers are provided from recent Final examinations. Clinical anaesthesia and clinical science Structured Oral Examination questions with answers have been drawn from recent examinations. These provide a guide for examination preparation and a template for practice orals.
