2020 Annual General Meeting postponed

Published: 01/04/2020

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic and the College’s responsibility to protect the wellbeing of our fellows, members and staff, the 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) is being postponed.

The 2020 AGM was scheduled to take place during our Anaesthesia 2020 conference on 18 May 2020.

The decision to postpone will also enable our fellows and members to remain focused on treating their patients right at the frontline of our healthcare system.

Postponing the AGM means no substantial changes to ordinary business will be enacted until the AGM takes place. This decision has been taken in consultation with the Privy Council as well as recent government advice to UK charities. The College’s Board of Trustees has approved the postponement.

The new date for the 2020 AGM is likely to be during our Winter Symposium on 3 - 4 December 2020. However, this date has not been confirmed yet. The exact date and location for the 2020 AGM will be communicated to our membership once this has been fully approved by the Board of Trustees.
