Join us online in November, as we bring together the following groups to highlight anaesthetic research from the past year.

  • National Institute for Academic Anaesthesia (NIAA)
  • Anaesthetic Research Society (ARS)
  • Health Services Research Centre (HSRC)
  • UK Perioperative Medicine Clinical Network Trials (POMCTN)
  • Association of Anaesthetists

On the event day, log in from the comfort of your own home, your office, or anywhere that is convenient, to watch research presentations and put your questions to the speakers in a live interactive webinar. All you need is an internet connection and a quiet room. 

Format

This event will consist of a mix of plenary lectures and 15-minute research presentations. Lectures and presentations will be delivered online on the day. Some awards lectures will also be available for you to watch prior to the event.

Joining

Full joining instructions will be sent via email nearer to the event date.  If for any reason you are unable to join on the day of the conference, the recording will be available for you to view up to 4 weeks post-event.

Nurses, AHPs, QuARCs, research fellows, academics, and research administrators/coordinators are eligible for the £45 rate.

Both days are included in the price and cannot be booked separately.

Awards and prizes

NIAA Research Award 2021

This award is aimed at new investigators that have completed a 'body of work' and offers the opportunity to present your research project to the Anaesthesia Research audience. There is a £500 prize for the winner. More information on criteria and application details are available here.

RCoA and NIHR Research Awards 2021

These awards are designed to recognise consultants and anaesthetists-in-training who are making contributions to clinical research studies on the NIHR CRN portfolio. Winners will be announced at Anaesthesia Research 2021, and there are £1,000 prizes in each category. More information on criteria and application details are available here.
