Dr Mark Forrest qualified in 1990 from Manchester University. Having trained in London on the then North West Thames rotation he was appointed as a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Manchester Royal Infirmary in 1998.
Mark's main area of interest is Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Intensive Care. He also has an interest in Anaesthesia for Bariatric Surgery.
Interested in education throughout his career and currently the Group DME for Manchester Universities Foundation Trust, Mark was an FRCA examiner for 12 years and is now Chair of the Exams Committee at RCoA.
He also has a wide portfolio of committee work including ACSA, Equality and Diversity and Technology Development.
Outside of work Mark cycles (slowly) and supports Manchester United (Forlornly).
