Biography

Dr Jamie Strachan is a passionate advocate for the lives of anaesthetists in training having been elected whilst a speciality trainee in the Oxford School. He is now a consultant in anaesthesia and intensive care at the Milton Keynes University Hospital. His clinical interests are in areas such as general adult and intensive care medicine, retrieval and transfer medicine, anaesthesia for robotic surgery and he is also clinical lead for organ donation in Milton Keynes.

Jamie enjoys trying to improve his own communication skills, be it with colleagues, patients or families. He believes in the critical importance of good behaviour in the workplace, and valuing the people with whom he works. Jamie also believes in improving the interface between technology and clinical medicine, and completed a two year fellowship working on the Lifelong Learning for the College from its inception.
