e-Portfolio FAQs


ACCS trainees
There is an agreement amongst the ACCS Colleges that trainees will use their parent specialty e-Portfolios and have paper-based versions of the WPBA forms completed, then scanned and uploaded into the e-Portfolio when completing the non-specialty component of ACCS.

For those ACCS trainees not currently in the Anaesthetic element of the programme – they should set their Head of School, Regional Advisor, Deputy Regional Advisor, Training Programme Director or College Tutor as their educational supervisor.

The RCoA e-Portfolio is based on the RCoA Training Programme 2010 Curriculum.

Consultants
How can I gain access to the e-Portfolio system?
Consultants who require access to the e-Portfolio System should contact their School e-Portfolio representative.

Trainees
How can I gain access to the e-Portfolio System?

  • You must have a College Reference Number
  • Contact your School e-Portfolio representative to request access to the e-Portfolio – they should add you to the Data Import File and email it to the College.

How do I find out my CRN (College Reference Number)?
Your CRN should be shown on your welcome e-mail as part of your login details but if you need this at any time contact the Training team at the College at training@rcoa.ac.uk.

What do I do if I have forgotten my login details?

  • Use the 'Forgot your login details' link on the login page, or
  • Contact e-Portfolio Support Team at e-Portfolio@rcoa.ac.uk.

I cannot find my Educational Supervisor or Clinical Supervisor

How can I update my details?
If you need your personal details in the ‘My Details’ section to be updated, please email the following information to the e-Portfolio Support Team at e-Portfolio@rcoa.ac.uk:

  • Confirm who you are: Username, First name, Surname and College Reference number
  • The items which should be changed:
    • Email address
    • Date of Birth
    • Ethnicity
    • GMC Registered Address
    • Forecast Date of CCT, if you are a trainee
    • School of Anaesthesia
    • Training grade, if you are a trainee.
  • Confirmation of what the item(s) should be changed to.

Based on the current level of email enquiries we should be able to respond within five to seven working days, Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
