Applications to join Q are now open

The Q initiative, a programme led by the Health Foundation and supported and co-funded by NHS Improvement, is inviting applications from those working in the North East and North Cumbria, the South West and the West of England as part of its objective to connect people with improvement expertise across the UK. Aiming to foster continuous and sustainable improvement in healthcare, Q was co-designed with representation from throughout anaesthesia, intensive care and perioperative medicine within its 231 founding members.

Since its inception in 2015 the Q community has grown significantly with efforts now being made to phase in new members across different parts of the UK. Opportunities are currently open to those who are working (or volunteering) in:
  • North East and North Cumbria
  • South West
  • West of England.

With applications as part of this phase closing on Monday 5 December 2016, individuals interested in joining will need to demonstrate their commitment to, expertise in and experience of collaborative improvement. As a strong cohort of members with an anaesthetic or perioperative care background will help facilitate and enhance the spread of local improvements and collaborate on important issues within and outside the specialty, the College would like to invite members to apply to join the Q initiative by applying via the Health Foundation website
